Quality Control Inspector - 1st Shift

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that incoming, in process, and finished parts are within all required specifications per drawings and work instructions. It is the Quality Control Inspector’s responsibility to implement good documentation practices (GDP) and proper material identification, preventing nonconforming material from continuing through the process without proper approval, to ensure that the customer gets parts that function properly every time. Will be responsible for incoming, in-process and finished goods inspection. Eventually will be specialized in one area but currently they are in the process of building out this team and having a more formal quality department.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Education and Formal Training: • High School Diploma or GED required Experience: • Prior experience in quality control field preferred • Prior inspection experience preferred • Prior forklift experience preferred (not required at all - but must be willing to be trained on a forklift) • Prior machining / CNC experience preferred (not required but certainly helpful background/experience to have for this role since they machine a lot of their own parts). • Prior SAP experience preferred Materials and Equipment Used: • Tools of the trade: o Calipers o Micrometers o Plug, Ring, Thread, Pin, Snap, and Height Gauges – Manual and Digital o Forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment o SAP (a plus not required) Should have some computer skills to be able to report and track data and findings from inspection work. detail oriented and an eye/passion for quality and the role it plays within manufacturing.
