Description:

Upstate is hiring for commercial painters in the Rochester, NY. The positions are open due to growth - Upstate has over 40 weeks of commercial work won in their backlog and are bidding/winning more. The settings are strictly commercial - business offices, medical buildings, new build apartment complexes, store front, new build retail spaces, restaurants, etc. Candidates will be traveling from site to site on their own during the contract duration. All jobs will be performed in the greater Rochester area. Painting techniques: Candidates must have experience with brush and roll techniques which has a set order. Painters should cover all surfaces including floors first and move all furniture out of the way. They will be using brushes to "cut in" which is painting at the top of the wall in a straight line instead of using painters tape. They then will be using rollers on extendable poles to cover large areas of drywall or concrete to fill in after doing cuts. Painters should also have experience patching drywall and sanding any divots for cosmetic purposes to make sure walls are properly prepped.
