The Controls Engineer will be responsible for programming new equipment and machines coming into the facility and keeping the equipment running by troubleshooting and making appropriate edits where necessary. They will have to program from scratch at times.
They will be working on light assembly machines, some small stamping presses and molding machines. Types of machines: bold drivers, winders, fasteners, linear slides and servos.
Day to day will be spent overseeing the assigned assembly lines, providing overall plant support, design of control systems for new assembly lines, completing electrical designs, programming PLCs, working in Panelview, doing machine integration, working on switches, designing panels, troubleshooting, programming servos and robots.
They will also be responsible for any kaizen activities and improvements on the production line. They will be working directly with the engineering team also with ethernet to help all of the systems communicate.
The breakdown of this position will be as follows:
30% of the time they will be programming PLC's
20% of the time will be in an office setting working with the team, in and out of meetings
50% of the time will be spent on the plant floor troubleshooting machines and PLC's

*Must meeting physical demands of job (because this is a factory job, this person needs to be mobile. there will be times they are on their feet all day and other times they will have to fit into a machine or cage to fix something)
*Automotive manufacturing experience
*Siemens, Omron or Mitsubishi
