Review and evaluate real estate appraisals and underwrites mortgage loans on a daily basis.
Analyze the credit, income, and personal assets of loan applicants.
Underwrite conventional, FHA, and VA first mortgages as well as second mortgages and HELOCs in conformance with investor requirements, as well as the company's policies and procedures.
Review PUD and condo projects for conformance to investor requirements.
Provide support to processors and loan officers in structuring deals.
Stay informed of trends and development in local market. Stay abreast of changing regulations and investor guidelines.
Responsible for the accurate input of credit decisions into the LOS.
Clarify risk by requesting additional information when necessary.
The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work with multiple secondary investor guidelines.
Ability to work in a paperless environment.
Top Skills Details:
Minimum of 2 years mortgage underwriting experience required
Experience with conventional loans
Two consecutive years of solid FHA underwriting experience
Knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and standards
Experience with POS approval processes using LP, DO/DU and other AUS
