Aerospace/Dynamics Engineer


Primary responsibility is to perform structural dynamics and rigid-body motion analysis of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems in support of the Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) program. Performs the kinematic or kinetic motion analysis of simple or complex mechanisms using both hand calculations and advanced simulation software to ensure system success of GSE or flight hardware. The analysis may involve multibody simulations of rigid or flexible bodies to ensure system requirements are met or extract forces and accelerations to be used in structural analysis. Should also be able to perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA), structural dynamics and modal analysis of conventional and non-conventional structures.
Software packages include LMS test lab, MATLAB, python, MSC Adams, and we are coming up to speed on OpenModelica.

Skills & Qualifications

-5+ years of dynamic analysis experience
-Bachelor in Mechanical or aerospace engineering
-Experience with kinematic or kinetic motion analysis
-FEA Analysis experience

-Experience with any of LMS test lab, MATLAB, python, MSC Adams

-10+ years experience

-KSC experience


-Prior Mobile Launcher experience
