Description:

Apprentice under experienced engineering staff to gain proficiency in the following:

Fabrication and assembly of test fixtures from both written and verbal specifications

Piping and instrumentation of evaporative heat transfer equipment for thermal, sound and vibration testing

Installation and monitoring of sensors and various measurement devices associated with product tests

Prototype assembly and modification involving electrical, mechanical, and heat transfer components using various materials and methods of construction

Assisting in the development of test plans and specifications

Generation of accurate and detailed test reports in order to communicate test results to a various internal customers

Supporting technology investigation and product development projects

Assisting with the preventive maintenance and upkeep of the R&D laboratory facilities and equipment

Learn to safely assemble and disassemble evaporative heat transfer equipment and components

Learn thermal testing concepts and develop the essential mechanical, electrical and computer skills necessary for successful completion of Global Engineering test projects

Participates in BAC’s technology and product development processes through observation, study, and testing of heat transfer and thermal storage products

Top Skills Details:

Candidates must have experience in either HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical environments

Candidates should be able to collaborate with other technicians and engineers in order to successfully create prototypes of new BAC products

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience working in a manufacturing, machine shop, or R&D lab would be a plus. However, sharp candidates who recently completed school or apprentice programs would be acceptable.

Will entertain candidates who have recently been to trade school and got a certificate in HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical Trade
