We're looking for a maintenance engineer to perform maintenance and assist a maintenance team on all of their manufacturing equipment, including CNC equipment, forklifts, and general mechanical machines in a large plant that re-manufactures medium duty diesel engines.
This individual will be doing all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance on their manual machinery and other manufacturing equipment (this is 50-50 split, as a lot of their equipment is older).
This position is heavy on electrical repair and maintenance and requires someone who has worked in the 220 Volt range.
Additional job duties:
-Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Responsible for both preventative and corrective maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical functions of the manufacturing equipment.
-Responsible for calibrating equipment and gauges, maintaining test cells, and working on additional equipment like forklifts and cranes.
-Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
-Inspect, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
-Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
-Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
-Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
-Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
Day shift hours - 5 or 6 a.m. start time
NO on-call hours
All engines are built to the highest industry standards:
-Every engine is completely disassembled.
-All components cleaned and detailed.
-All major components are machined to meet or exceed OE specifications.
-Wear parts are replaced with 100% new.
-Fuel Systems and Turbochargers are remanufactured and tested.
-Long block and long block supremes are SIM tested.
-All Drop-In engines are dyno tested on electronically controlled dynamometers.
-Finally painted, packed and prepped for delivery.
This diesel engine remanufacturing plant can get dirty and warm, butt they do their best to keep it clean and organized
Employees are given 11 uniforms on week two to wear.

Certificate or degree in related field from a college or technical school
AND a minimum of 2 years experience
If no degree they would ideally like somebody with at least ten years on the job experience.
