RWI is seeking a TIG welder on 1st shift to join their team. Candidates will be responsible for TIG welding on Aluminum (1/8th in to 1/4 in thickness). May be asked to weld on stainless steel at times. Candidates will be asked to perform cosmetic and structural welds on their products. RWI manufactures storage structures used in libraries as well as conveying systems. They have many different sizes of products so the weld sizes will vary.
Candidates need to be able to read and interpret blue prints, be familiar with welding equipment and tools, and have experience welding on aluminum.
The structural weld will consist of the metal framework of the storage units that they make, candidates may be asked to assist in assembling pieces after welding.
A cosmetic weld is a resistance weld on a surface where a typical weld indentation would not be permitted. Usually the weld nuggets are run in the lower range of the quality specification to reduce the heat affected area.
1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
