Job Summary

The person in this role will support the purchasing department's objectives to execute the company's annual plan and division Operation Procedures.

What you'll be doing:
  • Execute buying team Operating Procedures (OPs) (including issuing requests for quotes/purchase orders, Raw Material tracking, WARP processing)
  • Peoplesoft Purchase Order data input, ringi (bid) assignments
  • Overall administrative duties (travel, catering, expense reports, mtg scheduling)
  • Weekly report management
  • Follow-up with suppliers' sales groups to confirm data, request information, and follow-up on status
  • Develop operating procedures, gain consensus and support training for buying team activity.
  • Improve existing buying team OPs to improve divisional efficiency
  • Contribute input in staff team environment to expand buying team role
  • Resolve day-to-day supplier issues related to ringi (bid), payments, late assignments, etc.

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office including current, superior skills in Excel 2013, 2016, Office365
  • Familiarity with SAP a plus, but not required.
  • Capability to complete activities with a strong attention to details
  • Work well both in team and independently
