Job Summary

EASi Engineering is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Product Engineering opening within our Troy Office.

The Product Engineer is a critical role within the Delivery Organization, reporting to a Program Manager and based within one of EASi's Delivery Centers. This person will be responsible for completing engineering and design projects by organizing and controlling all elements of a project as well as performing as an individual contributor in design. The Product Engineer will work closely with cross functional teams to vet prospective projects, agree on timelines, and successfully bring projects to fruition. This person will have excellent engineering and time management skills. Projects will vary in size, scope and industry but are commonly related to the automotive industry so having knowledge to contribute related to working as a supplier to this industry is very beneficial. This person will contribute knowledge related to DFA, DFM and DFMEA activities and VA/VE design optimization and cost reduction initiatives.

Below is a summary of qualified candidates for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree (Minimum) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 6 to 10 years of automotive or transportation industry experience
  • 3+ years product engineering and design experience
  • Able to specify project requirements
  • Very familiar with product validation processes
  • Ability to write detailed test plans
  • Has participated in DFA, DFM, and DFMEA activities
  • Has product and or system release experience @ Automotive Tier-1 or Tier-2 supplier
  • Experience with VA/VE
  • Design Optimization
  • Cost Reduction
  • Great communication Skills, written and spoken
  • Very open minded with a "Go to" attitude
  • Self-motivated and can work well solo or as part of a team.
  • Open and self motivated to learn new concepts as needed for the variety of projects that EASi takes on
