Job Summary



General Overview:
We are currently working with a company that outsources all of their production to clients out of state. They are looking to move all their production in house and build a welding/fabrication department from scratch. This candidate will be the Production Manager and help with the start up of this facility.

This candidate (Production Manager) will be working with the owner of a small but growing manufacturing company. To Start this individual will be managing the companies outsource supplier. He/She will be doing this while brick and mortar is being put into place but will also be working with the owner to get the proper fabricating machines, welding machines, and other manufacturing equipment ordered. They will also be working on getting proper manufacturing processes in order.

Once brick and mortar gets put into place (towards the end of the year) and machines and processes are in order, the job duties will increase. Below are duties that this candidate will support while maintaining the above responsibilities.

1. Ordering Materials
2. Production Scheduling
3. Routing Times
4. Scheduling incoming and outgoing truck loads
5. Optimizing Sheet Sizes
6. Inventory Management
7. Staff Reviews
8. OSHA/Safety
9. Rigging and Hoisting
10. Training New Employees (until we hire a shift lead)
11. Working with ERP systems

There will be more duties associated with the Production Manager role as time goes on but this is the general duties that the candidate will start with and move into as time goes on.
