The position responds to and diagnoses technical computer and application support incidents via the phone working with end users to resolve technical issues with the workstations, login, and applications for all I.S. services including those that make up our integrated Electronic Medical Records solution. Responsible for problem recognition, research, isolation and resolution steps to restore service for the user as quickly as possible using service desk tools and knowledge base capabilities.
Under general supervision, responds to and diagnose problems through discussion with users. Includes problem recognition, research, isolation and resolution steps. Is able to resolve less complex problems immediately, while more complex problems are assigned to senior level support. Effective use of the Service Desk system tools to manage the incident until resolution. Uses effective customer service and communication skills. Provides ability to listen intently as care providers communicate their incident or request. Patiently and cordially inform the caller of the next steps given their situation or request.
Position will include switchboard calls and will be trained first,
Switchboard calls for our hospitals (connecting to departments, patients)
Answering service calls for our clinics (paging out providers for patients and doctors, taking messages for clinics)
Scheduling and registration for our clinics (scheduling appointments and entering registration information, learning insurance)
Technical support calls (assisting customers with login and application assistance)
