Hiring Brake Press Operators
Candidates will be responsible to bend, cut, form and fit sheet metal from blue prints. Will be using fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch, that cut, shape, and bend metal. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Sets, stops, or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Positions work piece against stops, manually or using hoist, or aligns layout marks with die or blades. Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine. Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Measures work piece dimensions using rule, template, or other measuring instruments to determine accuracy of machine operation. Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece, using file, hand grinder, or wire brush. Performs minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces. May rivet and spot-weld work pieces when needed. Must read and understand layouts, job packets and blue prints for parts being fabricated, even if it is a repeat job. This includes understanding of dimensions and tolerances of finished parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Technical knowledge of machines and measuring equipment as required to fabricate parts.
Ability to lift 40lbs on a consistent basis.
Blueprint reading skills and fabrication knowledge.
Able to bend more complex parts and create complex parts for jobs.
Follow required procedures and use appropriate tooling to setup up each machine for the job as needed.
Able to operate machines on various metals with little or no supervision.
