Clinical Consultant (Unlicensed)

The Clinical Consultant (Unlicensed/Licensed) will provide assistance, services, resources, referrals, and consultation on various Medical, Non-Medical Counseling (NMC), Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and work/life issues to military service members and their families (telephonic case management/telephonic counseling; both clinical and on).
Answering 20-40 calls a day (~25/day on average) and conducting professional assessments of user's need(s) for core NMC/EAP and work/life services, which can include: non-medical counseling, childcare, parenting, eldercare, education, short-term problem resolution, legal, financial, tax, emotional well-being, relationships and communication, health and wellness, work issues and other specialty and add-on services.
-calls must be handled according to contractual service standards
-Inform users of program offerings
-Addresses service members by their rank, thanks service member and their families for their service
Ensure the safety and well being of the caller by:
a. Assessing needs of the caller to ensure first call resolution of all presented needs.
b. Demonstrating outstanding customer service.
c. De-escalate callers, navigating resources, resolve complex concerns, assess and take action in crisis situations
d. Able to identify high risk cases and respond as indicated under direction of the supervisor and in accordance with established protocols (conduct safety assessments as needed)
e. Perform call follow up and reporting
-Documentation of all cases into Case Management System
Special projects (typically additional coaching/counseling for a user) can be assigned as needed
*There is a Supervisor position opening that would require 1) Masters Degree, 2) Independent license 3) 3+ years of post grad direct/clinical care experience, and 4) supervisory/management experience
*Would be hired as a licensed consultant BEFORE being considered/interviewed for supervisor (no guaranteed- must prove self before officially being interviewed/transitioned)
*Does NOT perform any clinical work once in supervisor position; strictly, management, oversight, etc.
