• Cisco Network Troubleshooting • Laser Printer Troubleshooting • Point of Sale Equipment Troubleshooting (Cash Registers, Lookup Terminals, Receipt Printers etc..) • Basic Knowledge of Unix/Linux • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office Products • Able to type 15-30 words per minute • Retail Experience • Customer Service Experience • Prior Service Desk / Help Desk Experience in a call center environment as this role is 100% over the phone • Certifications that are nice to have: o CompTIA A+, Unix/Linux+, Network+ o Cisco CCNA o Microsoft MCP This is a help desk analyst role which is 100% pone support. Their team takes about 900 calls a day on average across the 1800+ stores that they support in the United States and Canada. An example of a day is.... There is no power with the register and they would have to perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if they can fix the register by ordering a part or having to contact a vendor to come out and possibly reboot it/replace the whole register.


POS, troubleshoot, thin client, cables

Top Skills Details:

1. 2-3 years of supporting POS systems and self-checkout units. (This person would be familiar with thin clients in which can be POS systems and desk terminals) 2. 2-3 years of network troubleshooting with POS systems. Needing to know what wireless and wired networking is. 3. Needs to have the knowledge around fiber optic cables and copper network cables on knowing the difference between the 2 and troubleshooting it. 4. Worked with VOIP and switches & routers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

This person needs to have magnificent customer service. They are going to be talking with employees that are not technical at all, so being able to talk with them and find out the exact problem and then walk them through on how to fix the problem is crit
