The Sr. Controls Engineer is responsible for controls engineering project requirements involving control panel design, PLC programming, instrumentation, check out support and start-up assistance. Designs, develops, and implements control system (logic software and hardware) to meet machine and integrated system requirements. Develops control logic software and user interface applications. Develops schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD software. Will assist with initial start-up and debug integrated systems and the development of system documentation. Individual will be working on automation and control system integration projects for clients in industries such as food and beverage or semiconductor. This person will act as lead on some projects and guide lower level engineers and technicians. They will also be responsible for schedule and budget management. You will not have consistent specs with this position- each customer will have specs that you need to adhere to. The first week of each project will be like a "boot camp" to learn all of the new information. There will be a lot of back and fourth with the customer. Clients include companies from F&B, Grain, Oil & Gas, Wood. This position will support the previous industries plants and manufacturing facilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Education: BSEE or BS in Engineering--Electrical Engineering is preferred. An AA in Engineering Technology or equivalent with equivalent experience may be substituted. Experience: 10+ years in below areas is preferred: control systems -PLC Programming(Rockwell(80%), Allen Bradley) -HMI(Wunderware, Simplicity) -Experience in the design of electrical schematics, including power distribution, control panels and associated NEC codes -Experience in one or more of the following industries: Food and Beverage, Oil & Gas, Wood or Grain. -Experience managing people, project resources, budgets and schedules.
