The Welder will be responsible for reading blueprints and MIG welding LARGE parts for the Nuclear industry and for military submarine parts. They will also help with fabrication and layout of parts. The welds must be Xray tested and qualified by the Certified Welding Inspectors based on Nuclear and Military grade requirements. Welders will also grind, debur and finish polishing parts. The positions are on 2nd and 3r shift, but may train on day shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES 2+ years of X Ray Tested Welding Experience Experience with a variety of welding disciplines MIG, Flux Core, Stick Experience welding a variety of metals Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Strong Blueprint Reading Skills Shop Math Skills Ability to weld in multiple positions Comfortable with overhead cranes and forklifts PLUS Experience Welding on Inconel Metal All Positions start on 2nd or 3rd shift due to the Union requirement: 2nd Shift - M-F 3:40pm to midnight with OT as required 3rd Shift - Sunday – Thursday; 11:30pm – 7:55am with OT as required
