This role requires a minimum of 1-5 years of related experience in Protection & Control design for substations. This individual will need to have experience doing "Print work" or design of Line diagrams, functional diagrams, AC/DC schematics, etc. Duties and responsibilities include: Under direct supervision and assistance, the individual will be responsible to perform the following duties: -Design protection and control schemes at 12.5kV Distribution to 500 kV Transmission substation projects -Develop schemes including the preparation of schematics, wiring diagrams, panel front layouts -Experience in arrangement and layout of control-house equipment and enclosures (i.e. Panels, chargers, disconnect switches) -Design single-line diagram, three-line AC Schematics, DC schematics, DC connections, and protection zone -Complete project lifecycle support from scoping development to final design processes -Coordinated with project manager and lead engineer for construction support criteria -Developed bill of materials based on design criteria -Developed designs for Self-Healing Team (SHT2), Serial to IP (STIP), Transformer replacement projects -Coordinated with CAD drafter to create the required drawings for project wile using client standards -Demonstrate technical writing for construction documentation letters, transmittal letters, project checklists, and QC forms -Apply the requirements of National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE designs -Knowledge of microprocessor-based equipment selection and specification (i.e. Schweitzer, GE, Siemens, Allen-Bradley) -Integration to maintain operating schemes functional interconnection of both distribution and transmission SCADA systems -Demonstrate abilities in cable pulling schedule, grounding analysis, battery calculations, and associated conduit layouts -Proficiency in software such as Word, Excel, ProjectWise, Acrobat Adobe, Skype Business, BlueBeam, and AutoCAD 2018 -Adhere to procedures during site visits, filling out preliminary scoping documentation, and taking pictures of equipment -Coordinated in tam meetings to follow quality control, maintain compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget -Experience in substation design and protective relaying for breakers, circuit switchers, M.O.S., transformers and differentials

Applicable Software: CDEGS, WinIGS, ATP-EMTP, PSCAD Protective Relaying: short circuit and symmetrical component analysis, time-current coordination, protection scheme and criteria development, relay settings, integration with SCADA systems, NERC compliance, arc flash analysis.
