This individual will be responsible for establishing company procedures for maintaining the highest standards of product quality and reliability. This person will be directly responsible for administration of Product acceptance, Quality Engineering, Product safety, Customer standards and defining specific quality objectives and functional responsibilities. Also, setting the standards for departmental actions and the integration of quality planning with product and operations planning, and the pace for state of the art improvements in quality control techniques. They are also responsible for promoting and initiating continuous improvement or process improvement initiatives to save time or money in the quality process. Additionally this person will be responsible for training internal employees on the companies Quality process/standards by actively developing training needs and curriculum for Quality, Statistical Process Control, Quality awareness and other areas of technical training required or valuable to the company. This person will be monitoring and ensuring that inspection personnel follow and adhere to inspection standards (written, visual, documentation) and reaction to product deviations to those established standards. This person will also be responsible for leading or assisting in 8D (eight discipline) corrective action process, for both customer or internal problems. Also familiarity with Layout department and to demonstrate knowledge of Layout capabilities. Finally, the ideal candidate must communicate with customers and suppliers regarding Quality issues.
