We are seeking experienced MIG Welders to join a dynamic fabrication shop located in Decatur, AL. This full-time, day-shift position offers competitive pay and a consistent weekday schedule. Ideal candidates will possess strong welding and grinding skills, with prior experience in a fabrication shop highly preferred.
Responsibilities- Perform MIG welding on various metal components.
- Use grinding tools to finish and prep welds.
- Read and interpret basic fabrication instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Meet quality standards and production timelines.
- Pass a weld test and grinding test as part of the hiring process.
- Proven MIG welding experience.
- Skilled in grinding and metal finishing.
- Ability to pass a hands-on weld and grinding test.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Fabrication shop experience is preferred.
- Must provide own welding hood and gloves.

Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a bustling fabrication shop where safety and cleanliness are prioritized. Welders are expected to provide their own welding hoods and gloves and work primarily with MIG welding equipment. The role involves reading blueprints and using various tools, including grinding machines, to ensure high-quality finishes on metal components.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
