Description
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems in our Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms Portfolio which develops Fuzing Systems (Ignition Safety Devices for igniting rocket motors, Electronic Safe & Arm Devices for initiating warheads), Proximity Sensors, as well as telemetry systems for rocket, missile and unmanned aerial system applications .
These products are in current production in support of several weapons systems customers with increased production over the next several years.
Primary Responsibilities

In this unique you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electronic hardware for defense applications. Projects will involve diverse technology areas including electronic design, payload integration, and system integration. We support our manufacturing team for existing products as well as launching new products in this role.
Basic Qualifications
BSEE degree plus 8 years of prior relevant experience including:
Must be a US Citizen, possess (and be able to maintain) a final secret clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

- Concept development and circuit design for a variety of products
- Experience using Mentor Graphics E-CAD schematic capture software
- Debugging electronic hardware with standard laboratory equipment
Must be a US Citizen, possess (and be able to maintain) a final secret clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Altium schematic capture and PCB layout E-CAD
- C programming abilities for embedded micro-processors
- GUI development for test interfaces using Python, LabView, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Product manufacturing support
