The Logs and Records Clerk is responsible for the management and sustainment of all aircraft logbooks, aircraft maintenance publications / files, prepare reports, logs records, directives and correspondence in an aircraft maintenance and operations activity. Required to be familiar with and able to use Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) hardware and its associated remote peripheral subsystems. Analyze control charts and program maintenance and man-hour statistical information to aid the maintenance managers and logisticians in the performance of their assigned tasks. Perform data processing, data entry, and the majority of the following:
This maintenance classification activity is usually accomplished in a flight line-like or hangar environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. May require lifting of objects whose weight will not normally exceed 50 lbs. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close and peripheral vision and acceptable depth perception and color differentiation.
Work Environment:
The diversity of working conditions ranges from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards exist.
Qualifications:
- Aircraft Engine Data Tracking via OOMA for Engine Management (FAME)
- Out-processing parts to the Air Force and ensuring the Daily Flight Schedules/Projects are accomplished promptly.
- Engine Data Tracking and Aircraft Fatigue Life Maintenance Systems
- Manage and maintain all aircraft records and ensure the addition of new aircraft
- Provide a daily update of aircraft status and configuration and record all inspections and changes in Inventory and asset configuration
- Identify and record work requests (WR) that require log book entries.
- Identify Near due components/inspections and issue any associated work requests
- Review, print, and file FPRs (Flight Preparedness Reports) for assigned aircraft
- Monitor, verify and log aircraft inventory records and technical directives (TDs) for documentation in aircraft logs and records and history files
- Other duties as may be required or assigned

Qualifications:
- Computer literate and functional in Office Suite
- H/S +2 years of experience in Logs and Records for Military Aviation
- Experience with automated maintenance record systems: NALCOMIS, OOMA, IMDS, and NAMIS - highly desired.
- U.S. Navy or U.S. Air Force maintenance administration course graduate - preferred
- Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship and Valid U.S. Passport
- Valid State Driver's License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to travel
