Description:

Client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Cost Accountant with a focus on Inventory Management. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory systems, particularly for materials such as resins, R&D supplies, and raw materials for human consumption. This role requires advanced analytical skills, extensive experience in cost accounting, and the ability to develop and implement effective inventory management systems. The company will be migrating from QuickBooks to NetSuite, and the candidate will play a key role in this transition. Develop and implement advanced inventory management systems for materials including resins, R&D supplies, and raw materials for human consumption. Maintain and update financial records related to inventory using QuickBooks and lead the migration to NetSuite. Analyze and report on inventory costs, variances, and trends, providing strategic insights to management. Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking and cost management. Perform month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting. Lead and support various special ad hoc projects as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Over 5 years of experience in cost accounting and inventory management, preferably within the medical manufacturing industry. Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with NetSuite is a plus. Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally. Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities. Experience with materials such as resins, R&D supplies, and raw materials for human consumption is preferred. Leadership experience is a plus.
