About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the digital strategy and product roadmap for Walmart's Health & Wellness (H&W) Common Capabilities function. This includes areas like messaging, analytics, identity, and consent. This leader will be responsible for defining and delivering next-generation omni-channel experiences for customers and associates, ensuring seamless integration across online, mobile, and in-store services. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners in Health & Wellness, eCommerce, Tech, Operations, and Store Innovation to drive growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction in the vision care space.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define and communicate a bold digital product vision for H&W Common Capabilities.
  • Own the multi-year digital roadmap, aligning with Health & Wellness and enterprise strategies.
  • Drive innovation in areas like healthcare identity management, consent, and messaging.
Execution & Delivery
  • Lead and scale a team of product managers to deliver digital features from concept through launch and iteration.
  • Translate customer insights, associate feedback, and business needs into scalable product solutions.
  • Ensure end-to-end integration with in-store systems, eCommerce platforms, and vision care provider tools.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to ensure goals are met and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to retirement, ensuring timely updates and enhancements.
Collaboration & Influence
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Analytics, Clinical Operations, and Marketing teams.
  • Present product strategies and performance updates to executive stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with optical vendors, partners, and internal tech teams.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to ensure alignment and progress on product initiatives.
Customer & Market Focus
  • Leverage data, research, and competitive analysis to deeply understand patient and associate needs.
  • Ensure solutions are inclusive, accessible, and compliant with regulatory and healthcare standards.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate best practices into product development.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing digital healthcare, retail, or omni-channel products at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of the vision care/optical industry or health tech is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments.
  • Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making with a customer-first mindset.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, HIPAA-compliant platforms, and digital scheduling.
  • Experience with machine learning-powered personalization or AI-based visual tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 10 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
