Centrally controlling master data, optimization configuration and automation for our best-in-class transportation management systems is critical to enabling the business to meet customer demand efficiently and effectively. This team is at the crossroads of operations and technology to optimize transportation shipments for the best cost and service. To do this, the team manages data, works with operations for improvement, and drives changes and enhancements to system configurations and optimization parameters.

What you will do:

• Leadership : Contribute to building of a stellar team of capacity experts. Lead team meetings, speak to industry trends and help manage carrier relationships .

• Relationships : Help improve capacity across the US by leveraging strategic partnerships .
• Transportation Operations : S upport associates through operational challenges .
• Continuous Improvement: I mplement ideas for process improvement s for the group by leveraging lean principles, time studies, and collaborative efforts with internal/external operations teams.
• Analytics : Be able to do i n-depth investigation of key drivers of transporta tion challenges . Work with large datasets and conduct ad hoc analys is to make good business decisions.

Candidate MUST HAVE :

• A background in freight brokerage operations (+2yrs required )
• Be a problem solver and enjoy planning for the future
• Be customer-centric and enjoy building relationships
• Able to learn and adapt quickl y and handle m ultiple projects at one time

• E xcellent time management skills and urgency to complete tasks

Job Description:

• Works alongside team members of the Capacity Solutions team to recover freight while controlling cost; Supports with relationship building; Supports audit processes to ensure partners comply with Walmart truckload freight agreements; Supports with routing guide compliance and oversees lane maintenance .
• Runs lane analysis to ensure collect lanes have sufficient capacity to support the everchanging/g rowing network ; Runs cost analysis to ensure we leverage spot rates; A nalyz es data from multiple internal/external stakeholders to improve network efficiencies; R esearch es and drives conversation around: S pot coverage , sp ot cost s , freight flow, lane commitment gaps , etc.

• S erves as a point of escalation for any day-to-day challenges ; S upports with all recovery efforts ; S upports with appointment scheduling challenges and /or identifying transportation bottlenecks .

• Provides process improvement s that contribut e to the current desig n and works towards more efficient ways of working; supports with prioritiz ing workload ; ensuring load assignment is on track ; runs point on load optimization failures ; P rovid es guidance around cost reduction recommendations and oversees execution.

• Collaborate s with internal members to diversify current portfolio and broaden the scope of asset carrier s in recovery efforts ; Supports internal/external lane pricing strategy and supports the operational rollout of US truckload RFPs for Walmart.

• Supports with workflows that join both internal & external data and provides visibility into market trends and spot pricing for all regions of the US; Provides updates to leadership on internal spot pricing weekly ; Communicates changes and/or challenges within the transportation network that could potentially impact capacity ; Executes process that identifies low performing carrier partners and drives compliance/tracking .

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field and 1 year's experience in project management, business, operations,
or related area OR 3 years' experience in project management, business, operations, or related area.
