Description:

A banking client is seeking an experienced Digital/Content Strategist to work at the center of the innovation economy, developing content and engagement experiences as well as marketing communications that resonate with startup founders in the technology and life science sectors.

The Digital/Content Strategist will be a crucial partner for the business segment team, charged with creating best-in-class content experiences and touchpoints that demonstrate key differentiators as well as educational content to increase the probability of the startup’s long-term success in effective and engaging ways.

Working across different groups in the marketing department, including product marketing and segment marketing teams, plus the Startup Banking commercial unit, the Digital/Content Strategist will need a full-stack of content development and marketing skills to navigate, plan, execute and optimize content marketing initiatives in a fast-paced and constantly changing landscape.

Responsibilities

• Owns the strategy and execution of content plans and digital content experiences

• Partners with marketing strategy and sales team to envision and deliver unique content experiences that support digital-centric client acquisition and client engagement. Key collaborator with Integrated Marketing Strategy and business stakeholders

• Cross-functional collaboration on the ideation and creation of content themes/topics as well as the development of original content and the repurposing of that content to gain efficiencies

• Partners with marketing strategy and sales team to envision and deliver unique content experiences that support digital-centric selling and client engagement.

• Key contributor in Integrated Marketing Planning meetings working closely w/ key business stakeholders

• Cross-functional collaboration on the ideation and creation of original content and develop content themes/topics

• Creates compelling long-term editorial strategies that build engagement and support business goals

• Identifies new experiential content opportunities to deepen prospective and existing client engagement; stays abreast of emerging form factors; able to assess applicability to their pursuit of ever-deeper client engagement

• Leads all aspects of content development and optimization with content team and Growth Marketing organization. Aligns content strategy and delivery with audience insights, and marketing and business

• Manages agency relationships and collaborates with writers and designers (e.g. UX/UI, visual, video, etc.) in the production of content and digital experiences

• Ensure consistent experience, and implement appropriate localization/translation strategies as needed

• Partners with the Marketing Analytics team, to assess content performance and client engagement to recommend course corrections and enhancements, as well as implement and track KPIs

• Contributes to content best practices that align to brand standards

• Collaborates with UX/UI designers and visual designers to envision and bring content experiences to life.

Team Development

• Contribute to the development of content strategy standards, governance and frameworks

• Support development of content measurement goals

• Support Marketing Operations to implement new content workflows via requirements, user testing and training to Content team 5%

Strategy

• Define content marketing programs for content across their start up banking segment

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify content opportunities and develop and implement overarching content plans

• Partner with IMS, product marketers and brand to determine how to best apply messaging and manifest our positioning in content and experiences in ways that resonate with our target audience.

• Leads all aspects of content development, deployment and optimization with content team and Growth Marketing organization. Aligns content strategy and delivery with audience insights, and marketing and business.

• Collaborate with market research and insights team to gain a deep understanding of our audience; use that knowledge to help shape how and what we communicate to prospects and clients.

• Contribute to the development of the detailed content plans for content marketing initiatives across owned, earned, and paid channels; identify what and when to use personalization in the creation and dissemination of content

• Conduct content audits and gap analysis, and use findings to develop recommendations to improve content strategies and experiences

• Support Sr. Director, Content to define editorial strategy for the bank to ensure it’s consistent and compelling across all channels and aligns with the client journeys

• Develop and implement appropriate localization/translation content strategies to ensure consistent experience and brand standards adherence across content

• With the marketing strategist, co-create marketing and campaign briefs to guide the creation, creative direction, distribution, and promotion of content

• Help lead content workshops with business partners to inform investor content strategy and tactics that best support the business OKR and client experience goals

• Lead ideation and cross-medium content development for targeted audience segments and sub-segments

Development and Execution

• Execute against overarching content marketing strategies by developing and/or editing content and copy for digital communications, including email, website, social media, eBooks, presentations, video, and more.

• Deliver copy tone and style that are consistent with brand and style guidelines

• Translate concepts into targeted and curated messages in multiple forms (multimedia, visuals, video, social, etc.)

• Work closely with editorial team to ensure accuracy in all work; consistency and continuity with editorial strategy and deliver impactful work collaborate closely with art and editorial content team members to deliver consistent high quality, brand aligned and targeted content across multiple business units, segments and sectors

• Conduct quality assurance before content publishing across channels to ensure high quality of content is published

• Liaise with content strategists and channel management on distribution and curation implementation

• Oversee priorities, scope, timeline and budget/payment of external agency partners

• Collaborate with design, layout and production agencies to ensure content aligns to content strategy

• Develop timelines and oversee production steps in collaboration with project manager for the content creation lifecycle and in keeping with standard operating procedures (SOP) (including drafts, editorial review, compliance approval, proofing, etc.)

• Follow content processes and Legal/Compliance processes, and work collaboratively with all contributors, stakeholders, and approvers involved in the process

• Contribute to development of content conceptual design and multimedia design

• Cross-collaborate on the ideation and content themes & topics

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to create distribution plans and manage the daily publishing of material and ensure it is published on time

• Conduct quality assurance before content publishing across channels to ensure high quality of content is published

• Participate and facilitate Legal/Compliance reviews and approvals of content

• Support Marketing Operations on defining requirements for the taxonomy, tagging and storage of content and assets

• Collaborate with SEO/SEM team to inform content development and continued optimization

Measurement/Optimization

• Produce content insights in collaboration with Marketing Analytics team

• Revise content across channels based on performance assessments

• Advise on the KPIs of content to be implemented by Marketing Analytics
