Position Description

Support the three Enterprise Cyber Security (ECS) teams (ECS Ops, ECS Engineering, and Identity and Access Management) by discovering, gathering requirements, facilitating, and/or managing projects and initiatives intended to improve the cyber security posture of UNS while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of each ECS team. Reports to the ECS Engineering Supervisor.

Position-Related Responsibilities

• Must be familiar with implementing and configuring various cyber security solutions and methodologies for identity and access management, security operations and monitoring, and analyzing the cyber security implications of different network and system architectures.

• Can gather, refine, and articulate technical and process requirements.

• Familiar with project management concepts.

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role facilitating technology and process improvements for engineers and technical professionals.

• Installation and maintenance of cyber security tools.

• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to generate and communicate reports regarding security controls.

• Familiar with guidance published by NIST specific to cyber security and energy utilities.

• Ability to quickly learn The Client’s project management standards and methodologies.

The selected candidate will be supporting NIST standards, evaluate new and existing technologies and security projects.

- NIST 800-53 and compliance experience would be beneficial

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong competency in the use of PC software applications (demonstration of skills may be required) and general knowledge of current IT technologies.

• Demonstrated skill and ability in adhering to tight guidelines and in handling multiple concurrent tasks/activities; ability to independently plan and manage own work in an efficient and timely manner.

• MUST be detail-oriented.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels; including listening, speaking and business writing.

• MUST be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The selected candidate will be supporting NIST standards, evaluate new and existing technologies and security projects.

Would be interested in seeing candidates with (not required):

• System or Network Engineers could be a fit if they have had focuses on security

• SAN certifications are a huge plus or CCNA, CCNP CISSP level

• Lead engineer experience
