Job Description
This role is located on-site at a semiconductor manufacturing facility in North Phoenix. The position requires a strong leader to manage and coordinate field operations teams across multiple customer sites or large individual sites. The role involves hiring, developing, and leading a diverse team of site managers, technicians, and contractors, while maintaining high standards in safety, schedule, cost, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead field operations teams at multiple customer sites or large single sites.
- Hire, develop, and lead a diverse team of site managers, adjustment technicians, safety managers, and mechanical and electrical contractors.
- Coordinate with international and domestic installation leaders to drive installation objectives.
- Create long-term plans and schedules to support projects with trained personnel, contractors, and materials.
- Deliver team performance that meets or exceeds customer and company expectations in safety, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Manage multiple projects and prevent escalations from reaching leaders.
- Model safe behaviors and drive safety programs at operational and organizational levels.
- Support quality processes and facilitate high-quality handoffs to customers and service teams.
- Manage customer relationships through project meetings and interactions.
- Handle project execution exceeding $50 million in value and manage labor and contract budgets over $5 million.
- Proactively address problems and manage escalations to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Coach and mentor site leadership personnel to deliver project objectives.
- Hire new talent and develop the next generation of site leaders and technical experts.
- Work with peers in safety, quality, continuous improvement, and sales/account management to support initiatives.
- Assist Directors of Operations in executing strategic objectives and establishing goals for team members.
- Develop and implement critical KPIs for each project to measure effectiveness.
- Manage project level budgets and troubleshoot issues with assigned systems.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of management experience leading teams of 10 or more people.
- 3+ years of site management and scheduling experience on large projects.
- Experience executing client orders and maintaining project timelines.
- Bachelor’s Degree with more than 5 years of complex project/site leadership experience.
- 5+ years of previous site management experience in a technical installation environment.
- Management of teams for installations and sustaining projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical degree preferred.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment and clean room environments.
- Strong history of leadership and team management.
- Experience in client relationship management and customer service.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and multiple sites.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a semiconductor clean room and occasional work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate. The role requires physical activity such as handling objects, reaching, talking, hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities are also required. The position may require up to 25% travel after the initial couple of years on-site, with overnight stays depending on project needs. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are necessary.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Chandler, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
