Call Center Customer Service Representative


Job Description

On a day-to-day basis, you will be acting as a Remote Gate Agent supporting thousands of drivers across the country using a two-way audio/video communication to verify/identify any necessary specifications on trucks and processes, while coordinating, communicating, and providing updates on a daily basis to all parties involved in the arrival, loading, unloading, and departure at warehouses, facilities, and distribution centers. We are looking for candidates that are extremely detail-oriented, can work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency, and are quick learners and technically savvy. This team is able to take on all gate operations and allow those associates onsite to focus on the daily operations that need to be completed. On a daily basis, you will be speaking to roughly 200 drivers, so excellent and clear communication is a must.


Responsibilities

  • Act as a Remote Gate Agent supporting thousands of drivers using two-way audio/video communication.
  • Verify and identify necessary specifications on trucks and processes.
  • Coordinate, communicate, and provide updates on arrival, loading, unloading, and departure at warehouses, facilities, and distribution centers.
  • Speak to roughly 200 drivers a day ensuring clear and excellent communication.
  • Take on all gate operations to allow onsite associates to focus on daily operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of high volume (Call Center) customer support experience
  • Strong retail customer service experience from companies such as Starbucks or the restaurant industry
  • Strong job tenure
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and keyboard shortcuts
  • Proficiency in computers
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Technically savvy
