Chemical Process Engineer

Description:

• Provide technical process and equipment guidance to the pilot plant operations team • Develop new products and processes • Collaborate with lab personnel to conduct lab scale trials • Conduct in-plant process/equipment trials and data analysis • Design new or modify existing equipment • Develop, program, and implement process control logic changes • Support capital projects – equipment specification, quotes, P&ID updates, control logic updates, hazard reviews, installation reviews, commissioning, etc. • Lead, participate and document risk assessments and HazOps • Lead root cause investigations and develop corrective actions • Conduct equipment trials at vendor’s site • Act as PSM MOC Coordinator • Complete monthly air permit compliance reports, quarterly research reports, assigned monthly safety inspections/audits • Summarize and present data to management • Liaise with other departments and sites to provide professional support and advice
