Job Description
As a Quality Technician, you will perform inspection duties, analyze data metrics, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of our Quality Management Systems (QMS). Your role will be vital in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine audits to assess areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Manage documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including process maps, procedures, and work instructions.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance overall process performance.
- Develop and execute quality assurance protocols and inspection plans to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Perform inspections and tests on in-process products and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications.
- Utilize statistical tools and techniques, select appropriate AQL Sampling methodology to monitor and control process variability and ensure product quality.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and products, ensuring quality considerations are integrated from the start.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure their requirements are understood and met.
- Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance processes, QMS procedures, and best practices.
- Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Experience in inspection and first article inspection.
- Ability to analyze complex data and identify trends, root causes, and solutions to quality issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborative work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret various engineering drawing schematics and recognize GD&T symbols.
- Proficiency in using sophisticated quality control inspection equipment such as CMMs.
- Degree preferred, or equivalent Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and industry standards.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours during busy periods or project-related tasks. Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, and the ability to lift up to 20 lb.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66640.00/yr.
