Systems Engineer

Description:

As a systems engineer, you'll be working with clients to help them scope the work, and working internally to design the work needing execution. This individual can come from a software engineering, electrical engineering or computer science. Mechatronics would work as well. This person will be joining a team of 40 (20 of which are other systems engineers) to do turn high level requirements into lower level feature requirements.

They'll be performing technical engineering tasks, such as operational analyses and trade-off studies, to define system design and subsystem requirement details, generating deliverable documents such as engineering plans, requirements specifications, interface control documents, and operational concepts;, presenting technical design proposals and reports, and supporting work planning and cost estimates during the project’s lifecycle.

MUST HAVES:

• 3+ years experience on design and delivery of large-scale systems
• Familiarity with requirement management tools

NICE TO HAVES:

Have familiarity with any of the following software tools:

o Matlab (for image analysis).

o Python or other scripting languages (to help script with automation)

• Prior involvement in development of cloud-based applications;

• Prior involvement in remote sensing or earth observation missions;

• Familiarity with machine learning / deep learning.
