Job Title: Medical Assistant


Job Description

Perform non-invasive routine technical support under the direction of a registered professional nurse and/or physician. Assist physician/healthcare provider as needed. Conduct tasks directly related to patient care, spearheading patient screening at the new Covina office by conducting initial physicals for wellness patients. Reach out to potential patients to help create more opportunities for the wellness program. The position will be fully based in Covina when the new location opens in October, with training occurring in West Covina in the meantime.


Hard Skills

  • Current CPR Certificate required; BLS (AHA)
  • NexGen experience is a plus
  • Spanish language proficiency is a must-have
  • MA Certificate required
  • Current CRT certification
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of basic office programs and internet as related to medical office needs (e.g., insurance authorizations)
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and NexGen systems

  • Right attitude

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).


Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Covina, California.


Work Environment

New Covina location, Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM. Could potentially start at 8:30 AM. Will be fully in Covina when it opens; in the meantime, training will occur in West Covina.
