Siemens DISW has recently completed a successful acquisition of Avery Design Systems, which combined with the Questa Verification IP portfolio, creates the industry's most comprehensive verification IP solution. This exciting new Verification IP Product Manager position reports to the Director of Product Management for the Design Verification Technology division. In the role of Verification IP Product Manager, you will join a high-performing team that is rapidly growing its business in a fast-growing market segment.
As a Verification IP Product Manager, you will be responsible for the helping to implement product strategies, including assembling product roadmaps and documenting development priorities. As a member of the Product Management team, you will work closely with customers, key industry and academia technologists, Product Engineering, R&D, and key Siemens DISW technologists to implement programs to maximize business in this product line. You will need to be able to align product line strategies into programs, initiatives, and tactics. Experience in understanding, documenting and prioritizing customer requirements into business, product and promotional plans is a plus.
A successful candidate must have a strong desire and enthusiasm for working with customers, account teams, distributors, internal groups and other industry experts to maximize our business in the semiconductor and systems market segments. You will need to effectively communicate with multiple levels of organizations, from engineers to managers when gathering requirements and promoting our solutions to customers. Driving collaboration is a must along with the ability to indirectly influence others within marketing, engineering and sales, across divisions and with 3rd party partners.
An optimal candidate must have practical exposure to System and IP design and verification processes, as well as leading edge functional verification tools and methodologies. The candidate must have an appreciation of the challenges and evolving use-models that are unique to verification IP in all levels of abstraction including simulation of design IP to emulation of entire systems.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop relationships with appropriate early adopter customers/partners based on business alignment. Implement partnerships to support the business objectives of DVT.
● Support PR and sustaining outbound marketing strategy collateral with partners.
● Collect, update, and maintain competitive information.
● Support collaboration with other complementary product groups.
● Develop business relationships with strategic customers and account teams. Implement plans to ensure sales engagement and business success.
● Assemble 1-3 year roadmaps. Support collateral priorities including new product introduction and business introduction presentations.
● Implement launch tactics for new products and technologies as needed. Support messaging, positioning, and communicating to the industry for awareness and to the field for sales effectiveness.
● Support messaging, positioning, and communicating at conferences, and implement requirements and priorities for collateral generation.
Screening
A candidate must be able to explain each of the following topics prior to requesting an interview
• Semiconductor design and/or verification
• EDA, VIP, Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog
• Simulation, Formal Verification, Emulation
Requirements
A candidate must bring the following requirements
● A mixture of business, marketing, and technical skills
● Domain experience in design and/or verification IP
● Functional experience in product marketing and product management
● Ability to implement initiatives, programs, and tactics that align to strategy
● Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate
● Knowledge of and exposure to verification tools and methodologies
● Ability to work toward objectives rather than by task assignment
● Willing to travel 25% of the time, including occasional international travel
Preferred
A strong candidate would bring the following requirements
● Experience in both field and divisional organizations. Understands both perspectives.
● Experience in the sales process of complex systems. Understands the elements of selling.
● Familiarity in product lifecycle management, including Crossing the Chasm from early adoption into the mainstream.
The salary range for this position is $136,700 to $246,100 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. If you reside in the Bay Area the salary range for this position is $163,600 to $261,800 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
