Job Description
The Cleanroom Technician performs a variety of hands-on production tasks in a controlled cleanroom environment, including general labor, equipment operation, inspection, cleaning, testing, and packaging of parts and products. This role supports multiple production areas based on workflow needs and requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and cleanliness standards while working with direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload various types of cleaning and production equipment to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Perform miscellaneous assembly tasks, ensuring products meet quality and performance standards.
- Inspect parts and products for defects or deviations, using strong attention to detail and visual acuity.
- Clean and prepare parts using alcohol wiping, swabbing, nitrogen drying, and other approved methods.
- Conduct leak, function, and flow testing to verify product performance according to defined procedures.
- Bag, tag, label, and package products accurately, ensuring correct identification and traceability.
- Operate air and electric drivers, LPC testing equipment, bag sealers, and leak check tools safely and effectively.
- Operate ultra sonic wash equipment in accordance with established processes and safety guidelines.
- Perform computer data entry to record production information, test results, and other required documentation.
- Maintain logs and other necessary documents to support traceability, quality, and production reporting.
- Identify deviations that could interrupt productivity and promptly report or escalate issues as needed.
- Perform a defined sequence of operations consistently while maintaining required levels of quality and output.
- Work as a collaborative team member to help meet departmental quality goals and on-time delivery targets.
- Assist in other production and cleanroom areas as needed, based on the production schedule and workflow demands.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, strictly following all safety, cleanroom, and 5S standards.
- Use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including coveralls, boots, hairnets or headcovers, face shields, and gloves.
- Handle fragile products carefully and perform repetitive tasks with consistency and precision.
- Follow direct supervision and instructions while demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as sitting, walking, bending, and lifting as required for production.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment is a plus.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required by production tasks.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 15 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform a sequence of operations consistently while maintaining quality and quantity standards.
- Mechanically inclined with strong manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to handle fragile products and perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Ability to work effectively with direct supervision and as part of a team.
- Comfort working in a cleanroom environment while wearing full PPE, including a cleanroom suit.
- Experience with inspection of parts and products in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with packaging, bagging, tagging, and labeling products for shipment or further processing.
- Familiarity with semiconductor or similar high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Ability to perform basic computer data entry for production and quality records.
- Experience working under 5S standards and general production best practices.
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced production setting.
- General labor and general production experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to maintain clean and organized workspaces and follow strict cleanroom requirements.

Work Environment
This role is based primarily in a controlled cleanroom environment, where you may work in a cleanroom suit (bunny suit) for all or most of your shift. Depending on workflow, you may also work on clean lines or in assembly areas. The position involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and handling both light and moderately heavy items. You will use various production and testing equipment, such as air and electric drivers, LPC testing tools, bag sealers, leak check equipment, and ultra sonic wash systems. The work environment follows strict safety, cleanliness, and 5S standards, and requires consistent use of personal protective equipment, including coveralls, boots, hairnets or headcovers, face shields, and gloves.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
