Job Description
We are seeking a contract Mechanical Design or Electromechanical Engineer to support our workload in the fluids division. This role is initially set for a period of 4-6 months, with the possibility of extension based on internal factors and year-end activities. There is also potential for transition into a direct hire position, contingent on strong performance.
Responsibilities
- Utilize SolidWorks for design work, including 3D renderings, 2D drawings, and drafting.
- Apply GD&T experience in mechanical design tasks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure project success.
- Adapt to a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Participate in project management and contribute to the development of fluid systems.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including CAD design, 3D renderings, and 2D drawings.
- Strong experience with GD&T and mechanical design principles.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in the field.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within an organization.
- Formal engineering degree is preferred but experienced senior designers will be considered.
- Experience with AS9100 standards and project management is advantageous.
- Flexibility and adaptability in problem-solving and design approach.
The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability and effective collaboration across departments. The role involves working with advanced design technologies and requires a detail-oriented approach to ensure precision in mechanical and electromechanical designs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Fullerton, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.00/hr.
