Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing firmware for FPGAs, which includes running advanced algorithms for real-time data processing and designing processing and firmware architectures. The position requires the ability to write and optimize HDL code for FPGAs, ensuring efficient and robust firmware solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize firmware for FPGAs, focusing on real-time data processing using advanced algorithms.
- Design and optimize processing and firmware architectures to meet project requirements.
- Write and optimize HDL code for FPGAs to ensure high performance and reliability.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited course of study.
- 10+ years of experience in developing firmware for embedded applications, including FPGAs.
- Experience with developing and executing tests to validate system functionality against specifications.
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with integrating and testing firmware/FPGA design with hardware and software.
- 10+ years of experience developing firmware for embedded applications.
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (active within the past 24 months).
- Experience with the design and implementation of real-time software and firmware for digital communications and signal processing algorithms.
- Proficiency in HDL coding for Xilinx FPGAs using Vivado.
- Experience with Kintex UltraScale and similar families.
- Experience with DDR4 memory controllers and the Aurora protocol for multi-gigabit transceivers.
- Experience in auto coding from Simulink and cybersecurity.
