Come join our Venice Family Clinic as a Home Based Coordinator and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and the community. With guidance from the Home Based Education Manager, the program coordinator will oversee the education component for our Early Head Start (EHS) home based program and will implement the Head Start Learning Outcomes Framework. In this unique role you will supervise our home visitors for the Children First - E.H.S. Program, and provide child development activities for the family play groups. You will use your expertise and skills to monitor the Home Based Performance Standards (1302.22), areas for infants and toddlers (1302.30), children with disabilities, screening and assessments, and School Readiness Curriculum Fidelity practices.

Salary Range: $54,500.00 - $103,100.00 Annual

Senate Bill 525 was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2024, SB525 sets a new $23 minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,380/week (equivalent to $5,980/month or $71,760/year).
  1. As defined under SB525, healthcare workers are defined as employees who are involved in the provision of health care services," which means patient care-related services including nursing; caregiving; services provided by medical residents, interns, or fellows; technical and ancillary services; janitorial work; housekeeping; grounds keeping; guard duties; business office clerical work; food services; laundry; medical coding and billing; call center and warehouse work; scheduling; and gift shop work; but only where such services support patient care".
  2. Employees (career, contract, student, per diem) in the UCLA Health medical facilities (e.g. Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Hospital, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, etc.) meet these criteria.


Job Qualifications
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field AND early education teaching experience.
  • California Teacher's Credential and/or Child Development Associate National Credential (Home Visitor CDA).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of supervisory and/or lead management experience in an Early Head Start program.
  • Experience working with low income families and special needs children.
  • Experience with curriculum implementation and monitoring.
PREFERRED:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage change and a diverse group of staff with various backgrounds and educational levels.
  • Comfortable implementing reflective practice, and knowledge and experience in conducting evidence-based coaching practices.
  • Trained in the Partners for a Healthy Baby Curriculum, Ages and Stages, Learning Games, and HELP assessment.
  • Experience with ChildPlus record management software, and HOVRS/PIWI.
