Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and production of wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical systems. This role involves hands-on engineering, documentation, testing, and collaboration across departments to meet customer and industry standards, particularly in aerospace, military, and commercial applications.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cable/wire harness assemblies and electromechanical systems.
  • Interpret and create electrical schematics, CAD/SolidWorks drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support production with tooling, fixtures, and troubleshooting of electrical assemblies.
  • Conduct system-level testing, including CCA and PCB testing.
  • Generate and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Estimate project costs, labor, and timelines.
  • Interface directly with customers and suppliers; occasional travel may be required.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and standards.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, preferably in aerospace.
  • Knowledge of testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of electromechanical products.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards (IPC, AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and documentation control.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship or ITAR-compliant status required.
  • Strong knowledge of wire harness and cable assembly processes.
