Description
Join our dynamic laboratory team as a Histotechnologist 2, where you will play a pivotal role in the preparation and analysis of tissues. Primary duties include:
• Prepare tissues for frozen sectioning and cut high-quality sections of frozen tissues (1-3 microns) and paraffin-embedded tissues (at 2-4 microns).
• Perform tests involving immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and in situ hybridization.
• Execute H&E staining according to established protocols.
• Maintain workflow, adhere to turnaround time (TAT) deadlines, and manage quality control and other necessary logs.
• Collaborate with faculty, residents, and grossing personnel to address and resolve issues related to worklists and other orders.
Salary Range: $55.70/hour - $72.05/hour
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
• HT or HTL (ASCP) certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of histology experience.
• Flexibility to work overtime and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. HiSET or GED).
