Description
The Chief Technologist, PET/CT and PET/MRI in Nuclear Medicine oversees the operations of diagnostic and therapeutic services using radioactive materials across multiple UCLA Health locations, including the Westwood and Santa Monica campuses. This role ensures excellent service quality, compliance with regulations, and adherence to clinic protocols. Key responsibilities include directing nuclear medicine technologists, coordinating with physicians and health physicists, overseeing data for quality improvement, managing cyclotron production schedules for clinical research, and implementing new imaging technologies. Reporting to the Medical Director and Administrative Manager, the Chief Tech is central to maintaining efficient and compliant clinical operations.
Salary Range: $67.15-158.51 per hour

Qualifications
- Ability to promote and use interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service. Working knowledge of research-oriented patient care systems
- Working knowledge of University policies and procedures to appropriately manage accounting systems, cashiering, risk management and personnel
- Demonstrates a leadership style that builds and maintains a climate of trust and inspires commitment from others to achieve organizational goals
- Experience managing team functions, including Human Resources oversight
- Supervisory and Management experience preferred
- CNMT required
- NMTCB, ARRT or CRT highly preferred
- BLS required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine. Minimum of 5 years experience in PETCT.
- Must be willing to travel to multiple clinic sites including Santa Monica, Encino, Santa Clarita and Calabasas.
