Description
The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Behavioral Health Professional to join our innovative Operation Mend Department. Operation Mend is a nationally unique program providing specialized surgical and psychological care for veterans, service members, and their caregivers. You will deliver family-centered, trauma-informed care with aa focus on supporting caregivers. Primary duties include:
Providing evidence-based trauma treatment
Treating co-occurring disorders and addressing traumatic brain injury (TBI)
Facilitating caregiver-focused processes and skill-building groups
Preparing materials for intervention sessions
Supporting the multidisciplinary team with psychodiagnostics appraisals, facilitating intake assessments,, and structured sessions for patients and caregivers
Organizing, structuring, and leading individual and group intervention sessions
Completing required documentation and data entry
Salary range: $34.24/hr - $74.19/hr
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
Advanced degree in a mental health related field (MSW, MFT, Ph.D., or PsyD)
Valid CA license in a behavioral health discipline
Prior experience working with the military, veterans, family, trauma, prevention, and/or research
Experience delivering trauma informed behavioral interventions
Experience working successfully in a team environment
Ability to administer assessment protocols
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access
Ability to work flexible schedule (including evenings and weekends)
