Description
The Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a Clinical Physics Assistant (Hospital Blank Assistant I) to support the technical and administrative aspects of radiation therapy. Under the supervision of a Qualified Medical Physicist (QMP), this role performs equipment testing, quality assurance, radiation safety measurements, and system maintenance while assisting with treatment planning improvements and clinical development projects.
Additionally, the position ensures compliance with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality while contributing to performance improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to excellence in patient care and innovation in radiation therapy. Ideally, the candidate would have computer programming, and test and measurement experience.
Salary: $21.07-$27.79 hourly

Required:
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate records.
- Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to follow written and spoken instructions.
- Proficient in use of Excel, Word, required.
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work variable shifts, i.e. evenings, required.
- Ability to read and comprehend English, required.
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, required.
- Must be able to demonstrate analytical reasoning, required.
- Ability to maintain a neat, clean, organized work area, required.
- Ability to work independently, required.
- Ability to use medical physics software and ARIA, preferred.
- Ability to lift QA equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Biophysics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry or a related field.
