Position Overview:

As a key member of our Mortgage Fulfillment Division (MFD), the Home Loan Specialist II / Loan Processor plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with investor and loan guidelines while supporting various channels to enhance operational efficiency and customer service. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to assess credit conditions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct complex data and document validation.
• Evaluate and process loan applications, ensuring all necessary conditions are met before proceeding.
• Troubleshoot third-party orders (e.g., title, appraisal, hazard, flood certification, credit).
• Suspend processing if credit checks reveal issues or if specific conditions are not satisfied.
• Review and revise loan applications to align with investor guidelines.
• Complete appraisal eligibility assessments.
• Ensure adherence to investor standards, particularly regarding Debt-to-Income (DTI) and Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios.
• Manage intricate calls, emails, and chat sessions.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with all regulatory and investor requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, reflecting the organization’s culture and values.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years in a relevant role, with prior experience in accounting, finance, or the mortgage industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of loan processing and investor guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Excellent analytical skills for assessing DTI and LTV requirements.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
• Effective time management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• General understanding of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations.
