Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in technical program management or program management.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing and implementing complex processes that enable more efficient/effective execution.
  
• Ability to coordinate development of specifications, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and design goals for the Development team.
  
• Ability to collaborate with teams in APAC and help them build bridges between teams.
  
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver solutions in a complex, changing environment.
  
• Ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions.
  
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating new product categories, growing existing product lines such as phone cases, pixel buds earbuds, wired and wireless charging products, and cables. You will research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $164,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to get products defined, designed, built, and tested on time, while meeting schedule, cost, feature, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with external manufacturing and Engineering teams (Contract Manufacturers/Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs) to plan and execute development builds.
• Communicate with stakeholders and organizations at all levels. Lead weekly program updates, and phase gate reviews with executive leadership.
• Identify and manage program risks, with mitigation plans and contingencies. Develop, delegate, and lead corrective actions to address organizational challenges.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across functions, to define key program metrics based on technical or program needs, define program roadmaps and work streams, and drive action to ensure program success.
