Description
We are seeking a Wireless Test Automation Engineer with experience testing performance of
wireless devices in a lab environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
common wireless test equipment, ancillary lab connectors and cables, linux platforms, and at
least one wireless chipset. This role involves reading through and executing test plans, assisting
to develop test setups where necessary, maintaining test environments, reporting test results
clearly, and highlighting unexpected test results.
Key Responsibilities:
● Setup and Execute test cases on wireless devices in both lab and field environments
● Identify which test cases and reports can be automated, and develop the software to
perform the automated tests and generate the automated reports
● Maintain test equipment and infrastructure
● Compile test results, develop clear reports, and communicate the results clearly to the
rest of the team
Required Qualifications:
● Understanding of fundamentals of wireless communications and at least one major
wireless standard (802.11 Wifi, Bluetooth, BLE etc)
● Hands-on experience with wireless test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzer, packet
sniffer, call box)
● Proficiency in writing and debugging software in Python
● Be willing and adaptable to work across multiple platforms, including Linux,
Windows, embedded systems, and mobile platforms.
Desired Qualifications:
● Strong understanding of 802.11 and Bluetooth standards
● Understanding of IP networking and hands-on experience setting up LANs (Local
Area Networks)
● Hands-on experience collecting performance logs from Leading wireless chipsets
manufacturers

Additional Skills & Qualifications
They are developing their own wireless automation infrastructure. They will automate things like: test cases, Bluetooth technologies, Wi-Fi peer to peer, latency, scanning, power consumption, sensor fusion.
Develop Automation and Infrastructure – This person will be working with the validation team as a lot of the things they are doing are manual, a lot of the Hardware and Software solutions the team provides are manual & they want this person to automate that.
Will mostly be scripting in Python or open C++
Build to Build – Device to Device. Bring up a test bed
Onsite – 3-4 days, 1 day remote. Roles can sit in SF or Palo Alto.
