Job Description
Control production processes through implementation of inspection plans, failure analysis investigations, and continuous improvement activities. You will plan and conduct the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration. Additionally, you will perform quality reviews of design documentation for compliance, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Your role will involve performing failure analysis investigations to determine improvement opportunities and directing technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities. You will also maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards and manage both customer and supplier facing quality functions for the applicable business unit.
Responsibilities
- Control production processes through implementation of inspection plans, failure analysis investigations, and continuous improvement activities.
- Plan and conduct the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration.
- Perform quality reviews of design documentation for compliance, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Perform failure analysis investigations to determine improvement opportunities.
- Direct technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
- Manage both customer and supplier facing quality functions for the applicable business unit.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of related experience in Quality Engineering
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 policies and procedures
- Knowledge of FAA part 21 and part 145 requirements
- Proficiency in failure analysis, CAPA, and Quality Engineering
- Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Validation, and Test Procedures
- Expertise in Quality Control, PPAP, Corrective Action Plans, First Article Inspection
- Familiarity with PFMEA, GD&T, Audit, and Quality Management Systems
- Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards

- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Excellent communication with team and stakeholders
Work Environment
You will be working in the Quality Department, which is led by a Director of Quality. The team consists of seven individuals (inspectors and engineers), and there is an urgent need to support the current workload. The environment is fast-paced and operates with a lean team.
