Job Title: Specimen Accessioner

Job Description

The accessioner will handle laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, including aliquot and pour offs. Responsibilities include unpacking and routing specimens to their respective staging areas, accurately identifying and labeling specimens, packing and shipping specimens to proper testing facilities, and meeting department activity and production goals. Additionally, the role involves properly preparing and storing excess specimen samples, data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner, and resolving and documenting any problem specimens.
