What will you be doing?

The mission of the End User Core Build (EUCB) team is to enhance and support the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN) end user environment including all stages of creating and maintaining the standard end user device core build for delivery, upgrade, and security updates.  As the SQL Developer, you will be responsible for assisting in the configuration, integration, and testing of the Windows desktop core build ensuring quality, accuracy, and precision in all known configurations. You will follow detailed procedures while striving for continual improvement in everything you do. You will work in a fast paced, time critical environment supporting the Warfighter and bringing innovative change and value to the entire Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI).

Responsibilities:

  • Engineer solutions for a wide array of tools that leverage SQL databases.
  • Create/Maintain tools and scripts to build SQL updates.
  • Develop SQL table structure and linkage via foreign keys, stored procedures and functions, security, agent jobs, and linked server connections.
  • Perform analysis against SQL databases to ensure stability, increase efficiency and improve performance.
  • Create reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) or 3rd party systems such as PowerBI, Clik, and Tableau.
  • Use PowerShell to script and automate various processes and procedures.
  • Update all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all processes and procedures and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Manage your work queue using a ticketing tool.
  • Work in a diverse team environment.

Requirements:

  • Secret security clearance required with experience working in the DoD or DON
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to use a ticketing tool, such as HPSM, Jira, BMC Remedy or ServiceNow, to manage and update tickets.
  • Programming experience using C# and .NET languages is a plus.
