Description
Provide administrative and filing support for staff in Community Oncology Practice. Major duties include: filing medical records requests; uploading medical records to the electronic medical record system and maintaining accurate filing systems; RightFax management; sorting and distributing mail; transporting clinical laboratory samples between clinic suites. Also responsible for general errands, duplication services, and back-up administrative support.
Salary range: $22.85/hr - $32.03/hr

Required:
- Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and convey information.
- Ability to accept direction from supervisors.
- Skill in reading standard English text to follow instructions, memos, and understand physician schedules and requests.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, faculty and patients.
- Skill in setting priorities, following through with assigned tasks and adhering to deadlines.
- Skill and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Skill to screen calls from and convey information to patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-faceted, high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly.
- Able to be resourceful, and to prioritize heavy workloads with organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated follow-up skills.
- Skill in organizing and maintaining functional filing systems.
- Strong understanding of alphabetical and numerical filing systems.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry loads up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students and the general public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated current work experience in a high patient volume setting.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to operate a PC and CareConnect, including proficiency in e-mail.
